The weather may be cold and snowy where we are, but the weather was just right in Nanaimo, Canada to start some outside GODZILLA shooting. This means we have three videos giving us a look at what is going on on-set, with two set videos and a news cast on how the production has affected the locals. The latest stills also show us Aaron Taylor-Johnson in full military attire and ready to kick some big, green buttocks.
I have no reservations announcing that this will be a great film,, mostly because of my love for GODZILLA, but also because of the respect I’m sure MONSTERS director Gareth Edwards will show to the project. The cast is also phenomenal, and shows that serious actors are being brought in to a serious film. I enjoy the 1998 film on a purely cheesy, terrible kind of level, but the casting of SIMPSONS regulars Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer indicated it was going down a comical route.
GODZILLA will be released 16th May 2014. It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe, Bryan Cranston, and David Strathairn.
