Chameleon-like actor Gary Oldman is set to join Soviet-era drama CHILD 44.
Directed by Daniel Espinosa (SAFE HOUSE), CHILD 44 focuses on a Soviet military policeman (Tom Hardy) who becomes a target of his own government’s suspicions. Hardy and Oldman will feature alongside Noomi Rapace (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO) and Joel Kinnaman (THE KILLING). Based on a novel written by Tom Rob Smith, CHILD 44 will be co-produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Schaefer.
We’ve already seen how well Hardy and Oldman can work together (Bane versus Commissioner Gordon in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) so it’ll be great to see the two of them working together again. Also, with them both starring alongside sexy Swede Rapace, things are guaranteed to steam up!

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
