As an audience that enjoys seeing destruction on ginormous levels, we often forget about the aftermath of such destruction. The latest stills from Guillermo Del Toro’s Robots Vs. Monsters feature, PACIFIC RIM, salutes the fine work of the men and women who must rebuild the city and clean up the rubble. The first still below is my favourite so far, as it shows buildings being constructed around the bones of one of the film’s Kaijus (strange creature). PACIFIC RIM is set to be one of the breakout hits of the summer, being heavily influenced by Japanese anime and Tokusatsu (special effects) shows and movies.
PACIFIC RIM is released 12th July 2013. It stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
