Epic New Poster Revealed For ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’

An epic new poster has been discovered for J.J. Abrams’ STAR TREK sequel which will see the crew of the Enterprise called back home, only to find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With revenge in mind, Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. It follows rather soon after the brand new trailer we brought you earlier today.

The returning crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise includes Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Bruce Greenwood, with newcomers Alice Eve, Noel Clarke, Peter Weller and of course, Benedict Cumberbatch as the mysterious villain.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS is released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 9th May in the UK, and the US on the 17th May.

Craig is leading the charge as our north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

why is it that it is uhura and not bones that is always featured alongside kirk and spock? i have nothing against saldana, but this is wrong! the trio should be kirk-bones-spock. if abrams and the people behind the movie don’t find karl urban good enough to be one of the film’s stars, fire him and replace him instead of insulting the character he is playing (and the actor himself, who gave the BEST performance out of the whole cast)
