It looks as though Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler are looking to make their collaborations a trilogy with an all new filmbeing developed at Warner Bros. The duo have starred together in the films THE WEDDING SINGER and 50 FIRST DATES. The as yet untitled comedy will see a couple, whom have already suffered a disastrous blind date, meet up at a family resort along with their children from previous relationships. Production looks set to begin in May, with a script from Ivan Menchell and Clare Sara. The film will reunite Sandler with director Frank Coraci for the fourth time. The two worked together on THE WEDDING SINGER, THE WATERBOY and CLICK.
Although some of Sandler’s comedies truly miss the mark, whenever he works with Barrymore we tend to get a charming and thoughtful film. Coraci and Sandler also haven’t done too bad, and with CLICK and 50 FIRST DATES being two genuinely emotional films at times, this latest effort could be one to watch.
