WRECK-IT RALPH is what is known as an ‘animated film’. This means that it isn’t real people you are seeing on screen, but characters that have been created by man. Lots of animated films used to be ‘hand-drawn’ but these days lots are produced via things we call ‘computers’. But before those images are put into/created using a computer, they are hand drawn first. Here is some of that concept art from the Disney film that didn’t win the Academy Award for Best Animated Film.
WRECK-IT RALPH was released in the US on Blu-ray and DVD earlier this week. The UK will have to wait quite a while, as it was only just released at the cinema. It stars the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Alan Tudyk.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
