New Trailer, Poster & Still From Shyamalan’s ‘After Earth’ Starring Will & Jaden Smith

I hate to bring it up… again, but whatever happened to M. Night Shyamalan? The man once famed for some of the most ingenious plot twists in cinematic history, went from King Midas to King Shit. Say what you will about THE VILLAGE – a film I bloody well loved – but for myself, the rot set in after that much maligned effort and not before. Since then we’ve had dreadful things ‘happening’ with rather strange air benders and ladies in water. It’s enough to make you weep!

Shyamalan has been trusted with another huge budget but this time has a blockbusting mega-star to fall back on if things fall apart with futuristic actioner, AFTER EARTH. “It’s all that Fresh Prince’s fault and that brat of his”, I imagine he’ll be shouting if the opening weekend it not north of $100 million. Fingers (and arses) crossed it’s M. Night back on form or it’s errm… Goodnight from him.

Check out this brand new trailer, poster and still from the film invading cinemas 7th June and starring Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Zoe Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo and Isabelle Fuhrman.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

Just don’t know, there’s a lot of information in that trailer. Which always worries me!
