Here’s a fact. I was lucky enough to be in New York City recently, and after the hell of a shopping experience in a Christmas shopper filled Macy’s for no less than six human hours, I was rewarded with a drink or two in a bar just off of 5th Avenue. In that bar, I am 99% sure that Carrie Fisher was sat at the bar opposite. She looked different than what she looks like in the above photo, but I’m sure it was her. True story.
Anyway, the point of this news article is that Fisher has confirmed to Palm Beach Illustrated that she is, yes IS(!) returning to the role that made her the shining star that she is and always will be, Princess Leia, in the JJ Abrams directed seventh film in the now Disney housed saga of the STAR WARS, STAR WARS EPISODE VII. She was straight out asked is she will appear, and she responded simply… “Yes.”
Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are also rumoured to be returning as Han Solo and Luke Skywalker respectively. No word on Anthony Daniels as yet however.
Pre-production continues on the film, which is rumoured to arrive in the summer of 2015.
We’ll keep you posted.
