A new clip and featurette have surfaced from Eran Creevy’s London-set crime thriller, WELCOME TO THE PUNCH. The low-budget brit flick, which Creevy claims is inspired by the late Tony Scott’s Hollywood action efforts, pits James McAvoy’s obsessive detective, Max Lewinski, against career criminal, Jacob Sternwood, played by Mark Strong. The latter’s gangland boss is forced to return to London following his son’s involvement in a heist gone awry, which has landed the youngster in a coma, giving the determined cop a chance at finally nabbing his nemesis.
Andrea Riseborough, Peter Mullen, Jason Maza, David Morrissey, Steve Oram and Daniel Mays. It opens March 15th in the UK., March 27th in the US. You can read our review here.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
