The trailer and poster for the all-star festival favourite DISCONNECT, has debuted with the story following three loosely connected stories about the internet and how it affects people in various ways. One centres on a mother who discovers her son is behind a serious case of online bullying; another is about a reporter delving into a young man’s obsession in doing sex-cam shows; lastly we follow the victim of internet identity theft. Most probably in the emotionally devastating vein of CRASH, just with added masturbation.
Jason Bateman, Hope Davis, Frank Grillo, Michael Nyqvist, Paula Patton, Andrea Riseborough, Alexander Skarsgard, and Max Thieriot all appear in the film directed by Henry-Alex Rubin, which gets a limited release in the US on April 12th. No word on a UK date as yet.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
