Director Ron Morales seems to have hit the nail on the head with his sophomore effort GRACELAND. Most of Morales’ experience comes from working as a grip on such films as SPIDER-MAN 3, THE DEPARTED, and LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD. He did direct one feature film, the poorly received SANTA MESA in 2008. Luckily, his latest film GRACELAND is generating a lot more positive buzz. GRACELAND sees a mild mannered chauffeur chase down the people who accidentally kidnapped his daughter, instead of the daughter of his corrupt boss. In a post TAKEN world, and the trailer for EDEN also showing today, kidnappings are all the rage. Fortunately, it seems as though GRACELAND is aiming for the emotional aspects of such a terrible occurence, as well as sounding reminiscent to Akira Kurosawa’s classic HIGH & LOW.
GRACELAND will hit theatres this spring (according to the poster). It stars Arnold Reyes, Menggie Cobarrubias, Dido De La Paz, Leon Miguel, and Ella Guevara.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
