We’re promised that Vin Diesel’s sight-adjusted, serial-killing antihero, Richard B. Riddick will go back-to-basics for his latest return in the futuristic sequel (and simply titled), RIDDICK. I was, and still am, a huge fan the character after the sleeper hit success of the low-budget creature-feature, PITCH BLACK despite losing his way with overblown follow-up, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK. He’s just too cool a character to write-off, so I’m eager to see what both Diesel and director David Twohy have in store for the hunted brute this time around.
Check out this latest still (again coming from Diesel’s own Facebook account) for the sci-fi sequel slated for cinemas, 6th September. RIDDICK co-stars Jordi Molla, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista and a returning Karl Urban, reprising his role of nemesis, Vaako.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
