Another day, another possible YA movie! It has been revealed that Universal and Imagine Entertainment are planning to turn an upcoming novel by Josin L. McQuein into a movie. The novel ARCLIGHT tells the story of a teenage girl who survives an attack from ‘parasitic, chameleon-like creatures’ called The Fade, something that never happens. Her survival prompts The Fade to start attacking anyone that helps the girl.
The book is not released till April, but it looks like the film will be on the way with Matthew Sand, better known for his work on NINJA ASSASSIN, currently attached to write the script, while Brian Grazer and Pouya Shahbazian are set to produce. Other than that, there is no news on cast.
With a sudden onslaught of Young Adult books heading our way recently, is another one needed? Or are you looking forward to the adaptation of ARCLIGHT? Let us know! You can pre-order the book now via this handy link.
