It’s interesting to see Danny Boyle turn back towards a somewhat psychological thriller with TRANCE, and in the last month or so we’ve been treated to the first trailer starring James McAvoy and a rather simple, yet mind-altering poster. Today, we’ve got hold of a few stills from the forthcoming Boyle-outing which is due to open on March 27th in UK and on a limited run in the USA from April 5th.
TRANCE also stars Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson in this crime-thriller that focuses on Simon (James McAvoy), an art auctioneer who becomes mixed up with a group of criminals as they partner with a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting. We’re hoping for all kinds of brain-funkery and Cassel on his best, twisted form as Boyle joins forces again with writer John Hodge, the man responsible for SHALLOW GRAVE and the screenplay for TRAINSPOTTING.
