Peter Dinklage Joins ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

peter-dinklageDirector Bryan Singer has just confirmed via Twitter that Peter Dinklage has joined the cast of  X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. There is still no official word on which role Dinklage will be taking, but rumours are surrounding the character of Puck. Puck was once a 7 foot tall man but reduced in size after absorbing the spirit of a being known as Razaar. If Dinklage is indeed playing Puck, then I’m sure they’ll get rid of that back story and just make him a mutant. There have been many casting decisions of late, but the majority of those focus on returning cast so it’s a welcome and refreshing change to have a new face among the franchise’s more recognisable. In a recent intervew, Singer also announced that X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST would be his biggest film ever, and said Richard Nixon would be a character. Fingers crossed for Frank Langella to reprise the role, as we all want a FROST/NIXON mash-up.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is set for release 18th July 2014. It will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page and Ian McKellen.
