New Trailers For ‘Arbitrage’ ‘The Company You Keep’, ‘The Internship’, ‘Maniac’ & Red-Band ‘Trance’

We’ve had quite a few new trailers on the last day or two and today we’re swamped with even more!

First up, we have a look at Nicholas Jarecki’s tense financial thriller ARBITRAGE. Richard Gere was nominated for a Golden Globe for his scheming performance as the head of a company that may be ‘fiddling’ figures. Things get a whole worse when his mistress is killed in a car accident and he leaves the scene to avoid his shame that may prevent a billion dollar deal going through. Already released in the US, it hits UK 1st March.

We have an all-new look at the Robert Redford-directed political thriller, THE COMPANY YOU KEEP. The Oscar-winner also leads the film, which features an impressive star-studded cast, as his former Weather Underground activist goes on the run from a journalist who has discovered his identity. The film is also based on the acclaimed, same-titled novel by Neil Gordon and hits US cinemas 5th April and 7th June in the UK.

Next we have the first trailer for the comedy reuniting WEDDING CRASHERS, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, for THE INTERNSHIP. The duo play a couple of recently laid-off salesman who con their way into the high-ranking offices and business of Google, despite being clueless about technology. Shawn Levy directs the film co-written by Vaughn and lands in US cinemas 7th June, with the UK seeing it hit on the 4th July.

We finally have an official UK trailer for Franck Khalfoun’s remake of William Lustig’s sleazy, exploitation classic, MANIAC. Elijah Wood takes on the role of demented psycho killer Frank, previously portrayed by the cult actor, Joe Spinell. MANIAC has the unique selling point of being entirely shot from the perspective of the murderer and early word is it’s frighteningly effective. It hits 15th March in the UK, but has no US date yet.

Last, but by no means least, is Danny Boyle’s TRANCE which arrives 27th March in the UK and 5th April in the US. James McAvoy takes the lead as an art auctioneer who masterminds a scam to steal a priceless painting. However, he’s in over his head when partnering with a ruthless mobster after being hit with a touch of amnesia, and it’s up to double-crossing psychologist Rosario Dawson, to prize out it’s whereabouts.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
