Even though it debuted at Toronto Film Festival back in September, there hasn’t been much news on Kristen Wiig’s latest movie adventure. But with a fresh new name, and a possible July release, new stills of GIRL MOST LIKELY (previously named IMOGENE) have been released to whet our appetites.
GIRL MOST LIKELY stars Kristen Wiig as a playwright named Imogene, who stages a suicide in an attempt to win back her boyfriend. When things don’t go to plan, she ends up in the custody of her gambling mum Zelda (played by Annette Bening).
The film co-stars Matt Dillon and Natasha Lyonne. GIRL MOST LIKELY also sees Glee and YouTube star Darren Criss play Lee, a tenant staying in Imogene’s old room…who is also a member of a Backstreet Boys tribute band.
The film is directed by duo Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman, best known for AMERICAN SPLENDOR.
GIRL MOST LIKELY looks set to be released in July.
