Amanda Seyfried is currently experiencing a career high thanks to notable performances in LES MISERABLES and a critically acclaimed role in LOVELACE. Now it looks as though she is aiming towards a comedy with FAMILY GUY creator Seth MacFarlane’s western A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST. The film sees Seth MacFarlane as a man who avoids a gun fight and as a result his girlfriend leaves him for being a coward. MacFarlane seeks out the help of an experienced gunslinger (Charlize Theron) in an attempt to win back the girl. Seyfriend is rumoured to be up for the role of the girlfriend. MacFarlane will direct this as a follow-up to TED with a script he wrote along with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.
A decent western comedy would be most appreciated in this day and age, but I wonder how much of the humour will be similar to TED, of if MacFarlane has a new bag of tricks.
