It has just been confirmed that Albert Brooks will reprise his role as father on a mission, Marlin, for the sequel to Pixar’s FINDING NEMO 2. The film has recently netted director Andrew Stanton, who has run back to animated films after his first (unappreciated) foray into live action film making, JOHN CARTER. Although word has it that after one of the conditions is that Stanton will get to try another live action attempt after FINDING NEMO 2. Brooks’ co-star, Ellen DeGeneres, is already signed up to reprise the role of forgetful Dory. Brooks has held out for a longer period, and word on the street is that he is getting quite a hefty paypacket for returning to the careful clown fish.
With the TOY STORY series supposedly complete but MONSTERS UNIVERSITY and even a CARS spin-off, PLANES, soon to be out there, some may be worried that Pixar are running out of ideas. I certainly didn’t feel as though MONSTERS INC. nor FINDING NEMO needed a sequel, but we can but wait and sea (HAHAHAHAHA)!
