Coming from THE TWILIGHT SAGA’s bestselling author, Stephenie Meyer, THE HOST follows the young Melanie Stryder as a parasitic alien soul is injected into her body when an alien invasion threatens the fate of mankind. Instead of carrying out her race’s mission of taking over the Earth, ‘Wanda’ (as this extraterrestrial life form comes to be called) forms a bond with her host and sets out to aid other free humans.
THE HOST is written and directed by GATTACA and IN TIME’s Andrew Niccol, and sees THE LOVELY BONES and ATONEMENT’s Saoirse Ronan in the lead role of Melanie, opposite Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Jake Abel, Max Irons, Francis Fisher and Boyd Holbrook.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
