I kind of say this at the beginning of the video, but the main reason that The Hollywood News exists is because of one man, and this time I don’t mean Patrick Swayze. Bruce Willis has been my idol ever since I was a little boy, from walking to school past a cardboard upright of the original DIE HARD poster aged 11 in my local video shop to watching every Christmas religiously ever since. DIE HARD made movies look cool, and it was the kind of film that made you look cool just for liking it. It made me fall in love with the movies, and nearly ten years ago it made me open a laptop and register the name for this website.
The fifth film in the series is out in the UK, and indeed around the world from Valentine’s Day (14th February) if you need reminding, and last night saw the UK premiere in a very, very wet Leicester Square in London. Sadly, I didn’t get to meet my idol, but I did manage to get a few words from producer Alex Young, stars Jai Courtney and Sebastian Koch, and director John Moore.
Here’s the full report. Enjoy. Yipped-Ki-Yay indeed.
