Rob Zombie is, much like his music, an acquired taste when it comes to the world of cinema. After seeing Universal want nothing to do with his intense debut feature, HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (despite financing the project), Zombie’s career has had it’s highs and lows. Certainly, his movies have a cult following and for most, he’s yet to top his savage sequel THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, even though he landed the remake of John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN and came back (albeit forced contractually) with dire follow-up HALLOWEEN 2.
Zombie’s latest efforts looks in keeping with his ‘hillbilly horror’ style, and now we have the first full trailer and poster for THE LORDS OF SALEM, which is led (naturally) by wife Sheri Moon-Zombie as a radio DJ who discovers an ancient box with a record inside that when played, unleashes the forces of evil… Much like that Nicki Ninja, or whatever she’s bloody called.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
