DRIFT tells the tale of two surfing brotehrs that must battle against bikers, society, and mother nature, in an attempt to kick-start the modern surf industry. When I originally read the synopsis I read it as ‘killer whales’ instead of ‘killer waves’, which sounds like a much more entertaining film. Here’s the latest poster with the most unimaginative tagline of ‘Two Brothers. One Dream. No Rules.’ I’m not really a fan of surfing films, other than SURF’S UP, and that’s only because it has penguins in it. No sign of penguins in DRIFT just yet.
DRIFT is released some time this year. It stars Sam Worthington, Myles Pollard, and Xavier Samuel.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
