Opening a fifth DIE HARD movie on Valentine’s Day may not have been the wisest of moves for 20th Century Fox, as men around the globe struggle to come up with a good excuse to leave the wife or girlfriend at home and look for love in the form a wise-cracking, dirty-vested cop. Yes, my missus can do what the hell she likes this year as I’m off to see John McClane whoop some ass in John Moore’s A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD.
The fifth franchise entry sees Bruce Willis’ McClane on foreign soil for the first time, as he travels to Moscow to patch things up with estranged son Jack (JACK REACHER’s rising Aussie heartthrob, Jai Courtney). Unbeknownst to the unlucky cop, Jack is on CIA undercover duty and dad may just be able to help when a ruthless gang of terrorists turn up with a destructive masterplan.
