Writer, director, and martial arts star Stephen Chow returns with JOURNEY TO THE WEST. This time he is co-directing with Derek Kok and it seems as though Chow will be as bonkers as ever. Chow has been mostly quiet since 2008’s delightful CJ7, but let’s be honest, the world of martial arts has suffered his comedic Tex Avery sensibilities. With KUNG-FU HUSTLE and SHAOLIN SOCCER in his back catalogue, this is sure to be an enjoyable and fast paced affair.
JOURNEY TO THE WEST is due out in Hong Kong on 7th February. We’ll keep you posted regarding international release dates.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
