Latest One-Sheet For Danny Boyle’s ‘Trance’ Crashes Online

Oscar-winning SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and TRAINSPOTTING director Danny Boyle may have amazed with last summers Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies, but film fans around the world are eager to what he has in store next.

Well, he’ll attempt to put viewers in a TRANCE with a crime-puzzeler centred on James McAvoy’s Simon, a high-art auctioneer who teams up with a vicious mobster in the robbery of a Goya masterpiece during an auction. In the chaotic aftermath after hiding the painting, Simon is knocked unconscious and once awake, claims he is unable to recall where he stashed it, much to the annoyance of his partner-in-crime Franck (played by Vincent Cassel). Franck then hires Rosario Dawson’s psychiatrist to unearth it’s whereabouts, but is Simon willing (or able) to spill its location?

We’ve already had three subliminal teaser posters, as well as the UK quad and now we’re able to bring you this clever US one-sheet for the film now confirmed with a US release for the 5th April (and UK date of the 27th March). Check out the trailer here, if you missed it.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
