Brad Bird’s 1952 Is Officially ‘Tomorrowland’ & We’re Told What It Isn’t

After his phenomenal success with MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL, Brad Bird’s next film, which was simply titled 1952, is a very interesting project. Especially since it is going to be a sci-fi film starring George Clooney. Well, that film now has an official title, TOMORROWLAND. No word yet on a plot, but TOMORROWLAND is the name of one of the parks at Disneyland , which opened in 1955. The film is also being produced by Disney, so surely this isn’t just a coincidence. The idea of TOMORROWLAND when it first opened was to represent how they thought life would be in 1986. Could this have any connection to Brad Bird’s new film?

The film is written by Bird and Damon Lindelof, who also tweeted some news saying that film ISN’T about aliens.

Here’s a picture that Brad Bird tweeted a little while ago. Looks like those are pictures of Walt Disney, though I could be wrong.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
