New Images Of Cavill, Crowe & Shannon From ‘Man Of Steel’ Plus Could An Icon Be Making a Cameo?

The 14th June can’t come quick enough for most of us here at THN. That date will see the return of the granddaddy of all superheroes with Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, MAN OF STEEL.

With the 300 and WATCHMEN visually stylish director working alongside the King of comic-book redo’s, Christopher Nolan (producing), what we’ve seen from MAN OF STEEL has been nothing short of astonishing and left the anticipation at boiling point.

Following the recent revelations, we’ve yet some news that suggest the late, and now iconic actor Christopher Reeve may just make a cameo via some magical camera trickery, although this maybe just fanboy speculation as nothing has been confirmed from Warner Bros. Check out these images and video from the Chigago set, which show a man dressed in period clothing similar to that of Reeve as alter-ego Clark Kent in SUPERMAN 3. A nod and a wink to fans of the character and fitting tribute to a hero? We hope so!

In the meantime check out these new images of lead Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe as birth-father Jor-El and Michael Shannon as the villain General Zod.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

That would be a delightful nod to Mr Reeve. How I love that man 🙂
