Following this week’s very dark and rain-soaked image of Vin Diesel as ruthless antihero Richard B. Riddick, we’ve yet another image from the sci-fi sequel written and directed by a returning David Twohy.
Diesel is once again on the run as his escaped convict RIDDICK, crash lands on an alien planet with a horde of ravenous creatures eager to feast on his flesh. Desperate for a way of escape, his only option is to alert the mercenaries after his head to his location via the destroyed ship’s emergency beacon and hope these monsters pick them off, leaving the bounty-hunter spacecraft for him to make his getaway.
RIDDICK will follow the events of the previous entries in the series, PITCH BLACK and THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK. The film co-stars Dave Bautista, Katee Sackhoff, Karl Urban, Jordi Mollà, Keri Hilson, Bokeem Woodbine, and is expected 6th September.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
