January Jones Unsure About X-Men Future!

January Jones Emma FrostWith an ever expanding cast that will see Matthew Vaughan’s 1960s set X-MEN: FIRST CLASS universe combine with the original trilogy, there were bound to be sacrifices. Unfortunately it looks as though we will be losing a bit of eye-candy in the form of January Jones’ Emma Frost. In an interview with Collider, she stated she is yet to receive a call about the sequel.

I don’t know that I’m in it, I don’t think Emma’s in this one.  Well they haven’t told me if I am (laughs).  I wouldn’t put it past them though, I got the script for the first one on the airplane on the way there.  It’s called Days of Future Past I think, and I think it’s more about James [McAvoy] and Michael [Fassbender] and then Patrick [Stewart] and Ian [McKellan], and I think it’s gonna go back and forth with those so I don’t think Emma’s in those bits.  I don’t know, I really don’t know.

The character of Emma Frost was originally introduced in the awful prequel X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, but the makers of FIRST CLASS decided to ignore that and reintroduce the character. FIRST CLASS ended with Magneto breaking Frost out of prison, hinting at a future alliance, but that seems to have been ignored. With such a massive cast already assembling for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST I suppose there had to be some casualties.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is set for release 18th July 2014. It will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman and Ian McKellen.
