Comparions with THE TWILIGHT SAGA was always going to happen once word Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl’s supernatural love story, BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, was confirmed for a big-screen transition. Already this week, we’ve had a featurette, as well as three new television spots, and today we’re able to debut the first clip from the film and boy is it worth a watch (and better than all five of those tepid TWILIGHT’s put together), as a stunning Emmy Rossum turns up at the high-school of her relative Lena, to introduce herself to Lena’s new boyfriend, Ethan.
BEAUTIFUL CREATURES also stars Jeremy Irons, Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Mann, with Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert as the star-crossed young lovers who discover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town. The film is written and directed by Richard LaGravenese and is released on the 13th February.
