The BAFTA’s aren’t far, surely the best awards ceremony in the world, and we’ve received news that The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) have proudly announced that Edith Bowman will host the BBC Three coverage of the EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday 10 February, read our coverage as we were there for the EE Rising Star Announcement! This is Edith’s third year hosting the show and she had this to say:
“I’m so excited to be hosting the pre-show for BBC Three at this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards once again. It’s the most important date in the British film calendar and to be part of it is thrilling; chatting to the great and good of the film world, celebrating what another fantastic year it has been for the men and women both in front of and behind the camera.”
Edith will be chatting to the nominees as well as other A-list celebrities as they arrive on Britain’s most prestigious red carpet, with the show also broadcast on Sunday 10 February on BBC Three before the ceremony, which will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One and BBC One HD and hosted by Stephen Fry. The ceremony is also broadcast in all major territories around the world. On the night, www.bafta.org will feature red carpet highlights, photography and winners interviews, as well as dedicated coverage on its social networks including Facebook (/BAFTA), Twitter (@BAFTA / #EEBAFTAs), Tumblr and Pinterest.
