grimm up north

Earlier this week, we brought you news of the unique big-screen, double-bill screenings presented by Manchester’s Grimm Up North Entertainment. The events are now expected to run throughout the year and first up will be the savage duo of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 gritty groundbreaking horror, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, followed by Wes Craven’s vicious debut, THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, on the 23rd January.

THN has a pair of free tickets for this exclusive screening in Manchester and to be in with a chance at winning, just answer the following question below

What is the notorious moniker given to the iconic chainsaw-wielding villain in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

a) Leatherface

b) Norman Bates

c) Freddy Kruger

Send to our email below with the subject ‘Grimm Up North’ and we’ll pick that winner on 21st January and please remember, if you can’t get to the screening in Manchester or you’re too far away, please don’t enter as we’ll just have to get someone else anyway, thanks!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
