Matt Lucas may be one of the UK’s brightest comedy stars, but that hasn’t stopped him from trying to conquer America. After taking LITTLE BRITAIN abroad and appearing in BRIDESMAIDS, Lucas now stars in SMALL APARTMENTS, directed by Jonas Akerlund.
Adapted from the novel written by Chris Millis, Lucas features as Franklin Franklin, a shy klutz who accidently kills off his landlord. When the other tenants (including Johnny Knoxville) start asking questions, Franklin decides he must take control…and somehow get rid of the body. Co-starring Billy Crystal, Rebel Wilson, Juno Temple, James Marsden, James Caan and Dolph Lundgren, SMALL APARTMENTS definitely has enough talent behind it to create some laughs. However, the trailer just doesn’t impress me, which is a shame as I really enjoyed Lucas in LITTLE BRITAIN.
SMALL APARTMENTS will hit a limited number of US cinemas on 8th February, and will arrive on DVD shortly afterwards.
