Aaron Taylor-Johnson is now in the frame for taking the lead in Gareth Edwards’ Americanized reboot of GODZILLA. Having finished filming KICK ASS 2 the actor will most likely be looking for a new project and this could certainly be the one. The role has already been turned down by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but then again he’s asked to be in everything, and has settled on SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Meanwhile Frank Darabont has jumped on board to rewrite the script, and lawsuits have been filed against some ex-producers. It’s going to make one hell of a making of documentary.
I really like Aaron Taylor-Johnson as an actor and he still isn’t getting the attention he deserves. It doesn’t help that most people would rather focus on his private life. Henry Cavill, Scoot McNairy, and Caleb Landry Jones are also rumoured to be of interest to the makers of GODZILLA. They will most likely be playing the lead role which we have been told will be that of a soldier during Godzilla’s rumble with two new monsters.
