Everyone loves a bit of JACKIE BROWN, and I still remember my excitement when Michael Keaton reprised his role from that film in OUT OF SIGHT. Which makes it great news of a prequel based on author, Elmore Leonard’s SWITCH. We got a good cast run down a couple of months back, but now Ty Burell and Dennis Quaid have found themselves switched for Will Forte and Tim Robbins respectively. These sound like two suitable replacements for the actors that had to duck out due to scheduling conflicts. THE SWITCH will see Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) and John Hawkes take on roles of a younger Ordell Robbie and Louis Gara, previously played by Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro.
THE SWITCH is to start filming very soon. It will star Yasiin Bay, John Hawkes, Jennifer Aniston, Isla Fisher, Will Forte, and Tim Robbins.
