Allen Hughes’ political thriller BROKEN CITY looks to be one of the years first nail-biting genre efforts, thanks to a cast led by Oscar-winner Russell Crowe and two-time Acadamy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg. The film will centre on disgraced ex-cop-turned-private detective Billy Tagget (Wahlberg), who becomes embroiled in a conspiracy when hired to investigate an adulterous wife (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones) of New York Mayor, Nicholas Hostetler (Crowe).
The sinister trailer that surfaced a couple of months ago looked edgy and gripping, and now we’re able to bring you the UK quad poster for the film set for screens in the US on the 18th January and the UK on the 1st March. A design very similar to the American one-sheet.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
