I think in the interest of saving time, let’s just assume that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is up for a role in everything ever. Just recently we’ve heard how he turned down GODZILLA, and is being considered for roles in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and JUSTICE LEAGUE. Now, leapfrogging all of those rumours, is news that he has joined the cast of SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. He will play the role of a cocky gambler named Johnny, who will be an original character for the film and not from the comics. Directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Millar had this to say:
Johnny is a new character in the Sin City world and we are excited for what Joseph will bring to the role.
Meanwhile, Joseph Gordon-Levitt also sounds very excited about joining the project:
I love how the first movie uses VFX, not to make fake things look real, but to create a heightened world unburdened by the look and feel of reality. Plus, nobody makes a badass like Mr. Rodriguez.

With the ever growing cast it looks as though this will be every bit as star studded as its predecessor. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is released 4th October 2013. It will star Jamie Chung, Jaime King, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Mickey Rourke, and Dennis Haysbert.
