Everyone’s favourite boy-turned-superstar actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to host the Sundance Film Festival Award Ceremony. Levitt is no stranger to Sundance and screened his directorial debut at the festival back in 2009. The Award ceremony, which is for feature films, will take place on the 26th January in Park City. There will be a separate event for the short film awards.
Sundance Film Festival announced the news and released a statement saying:
‘Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s accomplished and original artistic perspectives have contributed greatly to Sundance Institute and the independent film community. As host, he is sure to add flair to our Awards Ceremony in similarly exciting ways, and we are thrilled that he will join us in recognizing outstanding achievements at this year’s Festival.’
Levitt quickly responded on his Facebook and Twitter page saying he’s both honoured and excited. It’s no doubt that Sundance has been a hot event for many years, but do you think JGL just made it even more interesting? Let us know by commenting below.

Isra has probably seen one too many movies and has serious issues with differentiating between reality and film - which is why her phone number starts with 555. She tries to be intellectual and claims to enjoy German and Swedish film, but in reality anything with a pretty boy in it will suffice.
