One of the best films of 2013 is nearly upon us. Oh yeah! I’m confident. THE LAST STAND sees Arnold Schwarzenegger in his return to a starring role, as a small town sheriff forced to pull out all the stops to apprehend the leader of a drug cartel heading for the Mexican border. The small town community gather together to form a band of misfits ready for action. This will be the English language debut of Kim Jee Woon, whose work we have covered in our THN’s Korean Cinema Style series. Judging by his past efforts, this is bound to be a fun action film.
THE LAST STAND is released on 18th January 2013 in the US and 24th January 2013 in the UK. It stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Johnny Knoxville, Rodrigo Santoro, Jaimie Alexander, Forest Whitaker, Peter Stormare, Luis Guzman, and Genesis Rodriguez.

His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
