Unlike a lot of people, I quite enjoyed the last outing for world-weary (and world saving) cop John McClane. Despite the inclusion of ‘style-over-substance’ director Len Wiseman, having Bruce Willis encounter another “very bad day” alongside beauties Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Maggie Q – not to forget the ever-awesome Timothy Olyphant – DIE HARD 4.0 (aka LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD) had its moments and most of them were fun!
A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD will see McClane venture to foreign territory for the first time. Hoping to patch things up with son Jack (an undercover agent in Moscow), Willis comes up against more ruthless terrorists in the Russian capital. Hopefully, two McClane’s will be better than one and certainly following the recent release of the brilliant JACK REACHER, Jai Courtney (who takes the role of young Jack) is going to be one to watch!
Check out these first couple of television spots from the action sequel slated for cinemas on the 14th February 2013. John Moore directs.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
