‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Beams Up Awesome New Images!

I was one of the few not taken with J.J. Abrams’ STAR TREK reboot. Somewhere in my youth a felt my allegiance lay with George Lucas and his STAR WARS franchise (the original trilogy, not those recent trio of awful eye-popping offcuts) and as such, I’ve been unable to enjoy what Trekkies so often do. Still, amongst to towers of THN, we’ve a host of STAR TREK fanatics and even I have to admit the trailer for Abrams’ sequel STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, looked damn epic so even I’m willing to give him another go at trying to impress.

So, here we have a host of magazine cover artwork and images that certainly hint we could be in for an awesome spectacle – and that Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be bad-ass as Khan or John Harrison or Gary Mitchell or Phil Mitchell or Grant Mitchell, or whoever he’s going to bloody be.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
