Shyamalan’s ‘After Earth’ Gets Misty New Poster

After the tripe he’s served us over the last five years, AFTER EARTH surely can’t be any worse than THE LAST AIRBENDER or THE HAPPENING, can it? The forthcoming, big-budget sci-fi thriller from (used-to-be-great) director M. Night Shyamalan, features Will Smith and real-life son Jaden as a legendary war hero father Cypher Raige (that silly name doesn’t bode well) and son Kitai, who crash land 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape.

Last week brought us the first trailer, as well as the launch of the films’ website. Now we’re able to bring readers the new fog-filled poster for the film co-starring Isabelle Fuhrman, Zoë Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo, David Denman, Lincoln Lewis and Kristofer Hivju. We’ve also added an international design that surfaced a few weeks ago.

AFTER EARTH lands in cinemas from the 7th June 2013.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
