I’m a real lover of some of Tarantino’s work, but when he gets it wrong I am bitterly disappointed. So far I love the look of DJANGO UNCHAINED and this new trailer is the best one yet. It drops the whole blaxploitation feel and gives us some striking visuals to the tunes of John Legend. It’s amazing how just a simple song can change the tone of a movie within a trailer. This one is certainly the first trailer where we get a real sense of the loving bond between Django (Jamie Foxx) and his wife (Kerry Washington). It also shows us some of Dr. King Shultz (Christoph Waltz) training Django. A lot of the footage has been seen before but as I said, that song can make all the difference.
DJANGO UNCHAINED is released Christmas Day 2012 in the US and 18th January 2013 in the UK. It stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo Dicaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Jonah Hill, Kerry Washington, Amber Tamblyn, Don Johnson, and James Remar.
