MAD MAX: FURY ROAD has had a bumpy ride on its way to the big-screen. Originally the project was given the greenlight well over a decade ago with (Mad) Mel Gibson set to reprise his role of fearless ‘Road Warrior’ Max Rockatansky. The project was then dismantled, only for the recent emergence of new lead Tom Hardy, getting the project back on track.
A signed picture of Tom Hardy has surfaced of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES actor in full costume from a movie nobody can quite recall. The picture, which was sent via a reader of another website, claims the that the image is from George Miller’s recently wrapped franchise rebooted sequel. If it is indeed the now British superstar as MAD MAX, it will be our first look at him as the iconic character previously played by Gibson in Miller’s post-apocolyptic action classics. Thoughts?
MAD MAX: FURY ROAD co-stars Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough and Rosie Huntington-Whitely. It’s expected early 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
