Earlier this month, Whovians were treated to a teaser image of the recently redesigned TARDIS interior. Now that we’re that much closer to the release of the DOCTOR WHO Christmas special THE SNOWMEN, an official glimpse of the re-jigged TARDIS console room is making its way around the web.
Production designer Michael Pickwoad stayed true to the look of the previous style while still giving the console a fresh, new Gallifreyan feel.
In the photo, The Doctor (played by the always-brilliant Matt Smith) also shows off his impressive new Victorian duds – a departure from his usual hipster-in-space fashion statement.
Whether or not audiences will take a liking to the new TARDIS interior remains to be seen, but it will make its television debut in less than a week.
You can catch THE SNOWMEN on Christmas Day, which will leave fans satisfied until the series resumes in spring 2013 with an eight-episode run.
