Joel Edgerton is currently in talks to join Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender in Lynn Ramsay’s western JANE GOT A GUN. JANE GOT A GUN is based on a Black List script by Brian Duffield and will be produced by and stars Natalie Portman. The film focuses on a woman that must ask for the aid of an ex-lover to help protect her home after her husband returns riddled with bullets. Edgerton is up for the role of Portman’s husband with Fassebender playing the ex-lover. I think these three stars will have some fantastic chemistry, but Ramsay directing is a turn-off for me as I simply couldn’t stand WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN. Still, I’m willing to give any western a chance.
Edgerton is a fine actor, impressing in one of last year’s best films WARRIOR. He has also been rumoured to be on the short list for Marvel’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, directed by James Gunn.
