With the success of books like THE HUNGER GAMES and TWILIGHT, it seems as if studios are trying to find their way into the ‘Young Adult’ franchise by adapting every available book on the market. Now it’s the turn of Fox 2000, who will be bringing in executive-turned-writer Lindsay Devlin to adapt the science fiction novel REBOOT (originally written by Amy Tintera).
REBOOT is set in a world that has become infected with disease, and deadly soldiers are created from dead teenagers. The story follows two teenagers brought back to life who try and fight an evil organisation. The novel is expected to be released in May.
Lindsay Devlin also wrote a version of SLEEPING BEAUTY which was being shown to producers back in 2011. However, even with TRUE GRIT’s Hailee Steinfeld in talks to star, it did not get produced.
