He’s possibly been one of the few superheroes left behind by the current crop of modern comic-book capers and blockbuster favourites. Yes, we saw him revived for Bryan Singer’s 2006 love-letter to the beloved DC character with SUPERMAN RETURNS (an underrated and under-loved gem in my opinion), but that seemed to do very little for fans feasting on a Batman Beginning, a Spider-man swinging and an X-men evolution.
Here’s hoping Clark Kent gets his time in the sun and a chance to shine in Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL. Henry Cavill takes the lead in the reboot being produced by Christopher Nolan, alongside a superb supporting cast that includes Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Christopher Meloni, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe.
Check out this new image of Cavill in the iconic colours of Kal-El from Studio Ciné Live magazine.
MAN OF STEEL flies into cinemas 14th June 2013. Check out the epic teaser trailers, for those that missed them, HERE

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
