Oscars: Final 15 ‘Best Documentary’ Movies Revealed

The shortlist for the Best Documentary award at this year’s Oscars have been revealed by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. I am the first to admit that I haven’t seen many of these, but I’m really pleased to see THE IMPOSTER shortlisted as that is one that enjoyed back in the summer. I urge you seek it out on the home formats; its a bit of a gem. Great to see SEARCHING FOR SUGARMAN on the list too.

The final 15 were shortlisted from a massive 126 eligible movies this year. The 15 will become 5 when the other nominees in all of the other categories are announced in Hollywood on the morning of Thursday, January 10, 2013.
